Our Story
Our story is about hope. Not the hope of someone like me, or those I work with, but the hope of a nation, the hope of the people.
This story would not have happened if not for my first trip to Malawi.
As a businessman I look for opportunities around the world. In the last twenty-five years I have travelled and lived in different countries. I am amazed at how diverse our world which has made me want to explore and learn more about the places where God has sent me.
My first acquaintance with the African continent started with South Africa, a country that struck me with its beauty and shocked me with its inequality and poverty. Returning to Africa over the years, I would ask myself again and again: how come the richest continent in the world is the poorest? Why is there so much hope and very little effort?
I arrived in Malawi in 2018, a relatively small African country located between Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia on the beautiful Lake Malawi.
Never in my years of travel across various African countries had I met people who in their talk, actions or thoughts had hope for a good and robust education system; who were desperately looking for a change and ways to do it, and eager not just to live with hope but make their hope come true.
Being an Israeli, I know what it is to build a country out of nothing, create infrastructure, set up schools and hospitals, but most important develop pride and the feeling of belonging in the hearts of the people.
Never in my numerous trips to Africa had I made a parallel in my thinking between the country and the company I manage. The synergies of like-minded people of who are united by common values and beliefs, in the belief that education will make their world better and change the lives of their people.
Malawi has become not just a country where I see numerous business opportunities, it has become my second home, a place where I bring my family, a place in which I see enormous potential, a small country on a large African continent which, without any doubt, can soon become a perfect example of turning hope into reality.
